MOTAT is lighting up the Museum once again with artistic light installations. We are excited to bring you Night Lights during Matariki.
This atmospheric event blends art, culture, and entertainment creating a community event for the whole whānau that’s not to be missed.
Ride on a heritage tram illuminated by fairy lights, see the glow of the Blacksmiths forge at work, the Military Search Light, and more!
There will be live entertainment including Super Saints and Fire performers.
Tamariki will enjoy our arts and crafts activity folding their own paper Matariki Stars to take away.
Snacks and refreshments available on the night to purchase.

Tickets are $10 for adults (over 15), $5 for children (5 to 15), $5 for Gold Card holders or students (with ID) and under 5s are free (and do not need a ticket for entry).
Gates open 6pm.
MOTAT Mates, family, and group rates do not apply at this event.

Stairs: Some areas are not wheelchair accessible due to stairs, confined spaces and uneven surfaces.
Noise & Lights: This event includes loud noises and bright lights.
Visitor parking is available in the vicinity of M1 along Great North Road, adjacent to the Caltex Garage and along Stadium Road.
