POP into MOTAT for two days of bubble fun!
MOTAT will be bubbling over with excitement as Ngā Mirimiru Bubbles bounces its way back for Labour Weekend. Get blown away by live-action bubble shows, bubble displays and hands-on activations suited for the whole whānau.
Ngā Mirumiru Bubbles is a great way to engage young kids with science, imagination and bubble-tastic play. Try to catch a bubble, paint with bubbles, or even get inside a giant bubble!
Why bubbles? Because they're a gateway to understanding the fascinating world of fluid mechanics, and to hone careful observation skills that are the bedrock of science. A weekend where tamariki can observe, experiment, investigate, and discover scientific concepts in exciting ways.
Ngā Mirumiru Bubbles is also about connecting with our environment. Inspired by our location at Te Wai Ōrea Western Springs, a historic water source for Tāmaki Makaurau, explore themes of water conservation, and creating sustainable ecosystems. Explore the historic Pumphouse — the Western Springs Pumping Station was Auckland's first major public waterworks, with Te Wai Ōrea springs dammed to create the Western Springs Lake.
Enjoy hands-on design challenges, make and take crafts, tram rides, food trucks and live entertainment, plus so much this Labour Weekend.
Please note: There will be photography and filming carried out during this event for marketing purposes.
