Food and Drink at MOTAT

We welcome you to bring your own food and drink to enjoy when visiting. We apologise that our cafe is currently closed.

We encourage you to bring a packed lunch and snacks to enjoy at one of the many picnic spots and rest areas on our grounds, both outdoors and undercover.

Our Rūma kai is a food and breakroom for you and your whānau to bring and eat your own food. Located at the entrance to the new science and technology centre, Te Puawānanga, there are tables and chairs and some kitchen facilities for you to use, plus highchairs.

A coffee van opposite the Dome at MOTAT Great North Road sells hot and cold drinks, and there are vending machines selling cold drinks and snack food items at both our museum locations.

Ask our Visitor Hosts if you have any questions.

PLEASE NOTE: The MOTAT Café will be closed until further notice.

Bring your own kai and refreshments and enjoy them at one of MOTAT's eating spots, both indoors and out.
