Current Closures and Maintenance
We occasionally need to close certain areas to perform checks and for maintenance work. Other times we are changing exhibitions or setting up for something new. Check here for any planned closures.
Where possible, we try to schedule maintenance work during quieter periods to minimise disruption to visitors. We apologise for any inconvenience to your plans.
CURRENT CLOSURES:
The Energy Machine is currently out of action, we apologise for any disappointment caused.
Little Flick is awaiting a new battery and will be back in action as soon as this is replaced.
Please note the giant MOTAT sign at Great North Road will not be available during the July school holidays as it will be undergoing a refresh. It is expected to return in 2-3 weeks.
The Print Shop will be closed on Thursday 13 August.
