Current Closures and Maintenance
We occasionally need to close certain areas to perform checks and for maintenance work. Other times we are changing exhibitions or setting up for something new. Check here for any planned closures.
Where possible, we try to schedule maintenance work during quieter periods to minimise disruption to visitors. We apologise for any inconvenience to your plans.

The Print Shop at MOTAT Great North Road is currently closed for improvements. Reopening December 2024.
MOTOT's in Building 9 at MOTAT Great North Road has permanently closed to make way for our new under 5s play space in Te Puawānanga Science and Technology Centre. This new space is named Te Tumu. Read more here.
