MOTAT ACT 2000
The Museum of Transport and Technology Act 2000 came into effect on 1 April 2000 and was amended in November 2010 as a result of the Local Government (Auckland Transitional Provisions) Act 2010.
MOTAT is committed to sustainable practice and we are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint. Some of our initiatives include water conservation, material recycling and waste reduction, and energy conservation and monitoring.
MOTAT is community and environmentally focused. We seek to increase the cultural, economic, and social wellbeing of Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa through our actions and collection.
