MOTAT has two sites linked by a vintage tram ride:
M1 - 805 Great North Road, Western Springs
M2 - 200 Meola Road, Pt Chevalier
The best parking for your MOTAT visit is at M2 Aviation Display Hall.
Get directions from Google.
Here you can purchase your entry ticket and enjoy the free vintage tram ride between sites.
Parking at M1 is limited on Stadium Road and along Great North Road.
Access to M2 is from Meola Road as the driveway from Motions Road is closed.
Mobility parking is available at both sites, more information about accessibility here.
Located just 10 minutes drive from the Auckland CBD via the North Western Motorway, MOTAT is easy to find when you take the St Lukes Road off-ramp, Exit 6. We recommend planning your journey with Google Maps:
Bike racks are provided at both sites (inside near gate A at MOTAT 1 Great North Road site and outside in the car park at MOTAT 2 Meola Road). We encourage visitors to bring along their own locks.
Buses to MOTAT depart regularly from downtown Auckland.
Bus routes that service the main MOTAT bus stop at MOTAT 1 (Stop 8122):

The flagship bus on this route is the 18. This operates at least every 15 minutes, from 5am until midnight, seven days a week

Please note: the OuterLink bus only drops off and picks up on Meola Road, not Great North Road
