Things are heating up at MOTAT’s Whare Tinei Ahi The Fire Station!

MOTAT’s Emergency Collection contains some of New Zealand’s earliest firefighting equipment. You can get up close with some of this extensive collection with gas masks, medals, alarms and more, learn the heroic history of the nation’s firefighters.

Location: Building 4 at MOTAT Great North Road.

Entrance: The Firehouse has a wide entrance.

Stairs: There are no stairs.

Noise: Generally a quiet space.

Mobility parking is available on site at MOTAT Great North Road. Please arrange in advance.
