Funds will help replace ageing decorations and support access to the Christmas Lights
event for thousands of families through our charity partner network. As a charity (not for
profit), MOTAT relies on the Auckland Council levy and support from grants and
donations to cover the cost of caring for its amazing collection, and its award-winning
exhibitions, public events and education programmes that make MOTAT such a beloved
museum for all generations.

Yes. Donations of $5 or more are eligible for a New Zealand charitable tax credit.
Tickets are allocated through MOTAT's charity partners supporting children, families and
communities experiencing hardship.
