Funds will help replace ageing decorations and support access to the Christmas Lights
event for thousands of families through our charity partner network. As a charity (not for
profit), MOTAT relies on the Auckland Council levy and support from grants and
donations to cover the cost of caring for its amazing collection, and its award-winning
exhibitions, public events and education programmes that make MOTAT such a beloved
museum for all generations.
Contributions support Christmas Lights infrastructure and provide tickets for
distribution through approved charity partners.
Yes. Donations of $5 or more are eligible for a New Zealand charitable tax credit.
Tickets are allocated through MOTAT's charity partners supporting children, families and
communities experiencing hardship.
Yes. Recognition varies according to the support level selected.
Absolutely. Custom donation amounts are welcomed.
The campaign will run until the fundraising target is achieved or the event season
begins.
