A MOTAT Mates family membership (2 adults & up to 4 children) is just $95 for one year. That equates to $8 per month for unlimited entry to enjoy a fun and active science and technology museum where there is always something happening, plenty of learning and play and lots of reasons to visit again and again.

Choose the best membership pass for you

FAMILY PASS
Valid for two named adults and up to four children under 16. Children under 5 enter free, but can be included on a family pass if desired. Additional named adults may be added to a family pass for an extra $30. Additional Children can be added for an extra $20 each.
INDIVIDUAL PASS
Valid for one named adult (14 or older, not a current NZ student). This can be a good option for an individual bringing in children under 5, however the membership is for a specific person and non-transferable between adults. If two adults will only be visiting with children under 5 they may decide to purchase two individual passes instead of a family pass.
CHILD FLEXI PASS
Valid for one named child, and any one accompanying adult. This pass is specifically for the child named, and the membership may not be used without this child present. Additional named children, including under 5s, may be added to this membership for an extra $20 each, if for example a parent or caregiver may want the option of visiting MOTAT with a child under 5 while the first child on the membership is at school.
STUDENT PASS
Valid for one named student 14 or older, with current NZ student ID (Secondary or Tertiary).
GIFT A MEMBERSHIP

Upgrade you General Admission ticket:
If you purchased a general admission ticket, you can upgrade to a MOTAT Mates pass before you leave for the day, and only pay the difference.
A general admission family pass for $45 can be upgraded to the equivalent annual pass for just $50 extra. Just see the shop hosts to upgrade before you leave for the day.
